Fireplace Brick Replacement

We have a natural fireplace with 25, 4-inch x 8-inch, finished bricks mounted around the outer edge
of the opening of the fireplace - and along the front step.
There are also 15 larger bricks on the floor in front of the fireplace. We would like to have these
bricks removed and replaced with slate, 12in by 12in, tile. We will purchase the tiles from the contractor
that best fit our color preferences.
Please provide any addition material needed to complete this project.
