Who We Are
When you visit the Service Seekers Web site to submit a service request, you will complete a simple service
request form. Based on the information you supply, Service Seekers will transmit your data to participating
service professionals who are best suited to meet your service needs.
Information we receive from your service requests
Some of the information you supply to us on the service request may be optional. If you supply this information,
it will not be sold or shared to or with any person or organization except: as authorized by you, to participating
vendors, service professionals or other parties involved in your transaction, or as may be required by
law or court order.
Technical information we collect
When you visit Service Seekers Web site, our Web server sends a cookie to your computer. This cookie merely
stores a limited amount of information about your site visit. The cookie merely tracks aggregate information
on how our site is being used, including session counts, navigation patterns, pages visited, etc. These
cookies, however, do not store any personally identifiable information such as your name, email address,
phone number, etc. as you browse the site.
Service Seekers also utilizes Web Logs to track aggregate information about how our site is being used.
Web Logs track anonymous user information, including the number of visitors to our site, operating systems,
Internet Provider addresses (if publicly available), and browser type. Unlike cookies, Web Logs are maintained
only on Service Seekers servers and do not store or place anything on the user's computer.
If you come to the Service Seekers web site from an online banner ad, an anonymous identification number
may be passed to our site. This information cannot be used to gather any personally identifiable information
about you. It will only allow us to track the overall effectiveness of our online advertising campaigns.
Information gathered from Vendor
If you are a Vendor and you submit a company profile requesting membership, your name and other identifying
information will not be sold or shared with any person or organization. Your e-mail address or telephone
number may be used by authorized Service Seekers employees to contact you concerning your membership application.
Background Checks
To determine if users qualify for membership in our service professional network,
we use their name, company name and or federal tax id number to request a background check. This information
is viewable only by the appropriate personnel. Service Seekers may check for civil judgments and/or criminal
activity for the individuals listed with an account, as well as for the company or business entity requesting
membership. In addition, Service Seekers will verify that a service professional has the proper certifications
and licenses mandated by the state(s) the service professional operates in by utilizing one or more third
party verifications systems. We also may verify and validate the existence of certain business insurance
policies as we require for membership via your insurance provider.
What happens when you link to a third party site?
You should be aware that when you are on Service Seekers and/or its affiliates' sites you could hyperlink
or be directed to other sites that are beyond our control and/or outside our service. These other sites
may include sites of advertisers, sponsors and partners that may Service Seekers and/or its affiliates'
logo as part of a co-branding agreement. These other sites may send their own cookies to Customers, collect
data, or solicit Information.
Service Seekers and its affiliates do not control such sites, and, therefore, are not responsible for
their contents or the hyperlinks or advertising they choose to place on such sites and/or its affiliates'
inclusion of hyperlinks to these sites do not imply any endorsement of the material on such sites or any
association with their operators. Service Seekers policy does not extend to anything that is inherent
in the operation of the Internet, which is Service Seekers and its affiliates' control.
